Wheelchair sports, recreational & competitive, are enjoyed by thousands of people with disabilities each year. The number of participants keeps growing as does the list of sports activities available.
This website is an effort on the part of the Syracuse Flyers Wheelchair Sports, Inc. to continue the expansion of wheelchair sports by informing potential athletes of the opportunities available.

All people with disabilities from high level quadriplegics & low level paraplegics, as well as people with permanent back injuries, can discover a satisfying sports outlet suited to their desires & capabilities. Whether recreational or competitive, wheelchair sports are available to everyone.
The purpose of Syracuse Flyers Wheelchair Sports, Inc. is to initiate, stimulate & promote the growth & development of wheelchair sports for people with physical disabilities in Central New York.

The primary objective is to permit those individuals with permanent disabilities, who would otherwise be denied the opportunity, to compete in sports vigorously & safely under rules that are kept as close to "traditional" as possible.

The secondary objective is to create public awareness of the abilities of these individuals over the apparent disabilities in a positive way through sports.

We serve individuals in the CNY area by providing equipment, locating facilities & establishing competitions for recreational & competitive sports. Equally important, however, is the awarenesscreated by people with disabilities taking an active part in our programs. We also provide the community at large with the opportunity to see people with disabilities as healthy, active & vibrant people.
